Paths for freedom and progress

The human race with technology is just like an alcoholic with a bottle of vodka (Ted Kaczynski)                        Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There was never a democracy yet that didn´t commit suicide. John Adams, USA President, 1797-1801                        "The system makes an individual's life easier for him in innumerable ways, but in doing so it deprives him of control over his own fate."(Ted Kaczinsky)                        "Just don´t waste" (Sir David Attenborough)                        Western democracy is a gas. Useful for blowing up multicolored balloons (Nilsson)                        “By continuing the process of inflation governments can confiscate secretly and unobserved an important part of the wealth of their citizens.”(Keynes)                        Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. ( Jean Jaques Rousseau )                        Man needs to work and fight in the Nature, not against it. (Thomas Ulf Nilsson)                        I prefer liberty with danger than peace with slavery. ( Jean Jaques Rousseau )                        The intellectual, tweed-wearing middle-class socialist didn't like the poor; they just hated the rich (Orwell)                        We swallow greedily any lie that flatters us, but we sip only little by little at a truth we find bitter. Denis Diderot                        Marxism and capitalism are equal. Both explore productive and creative men for the benefit of parasites. Thomas Nilsson.                        Useless laws weaken the necessary laws.(Montesquieu)                          Stilles wasser sind tief. (Still waters run deep). Friedrich Ludwig Schröder                         Happiness is nothing more than good health and a bad memory.Albert Schweitzer                         Love is when you desire happiness of the others. Unconditional, without expecting anything in return. Buddha                        If we only wanted to be happy, it would be easy; but we want to be happier than other people, and that is almost always difficult, since we think them happier than they are. (Montesquieu)                         About true liberty: Abraham Lincoln may have freed all men, but Sam Colt made them equal.                        Die meisten Menschen brauchen mehr Liebe, als sie verdienen (Most people need more love than they deserve) Marie Freifrau von Ebner-Eschenbach                         You should neither judge, nor forgive. Leave such matters to the Destiny. Thomas Nilsson                         An injustice to one is a threat made to all. (Montesquieu)                         BOYCOTT BRAZIL: http://boycott-brazil4.webnode.com/why-boycott-brazil2/                         If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito. (Dalai Lama XIV)                         Christian theology is the grandmother of Bolshevism. Oswald Spengler.

05/08/2021 - Surreal dream August 2019

August 2019, two years ago. Where were you? On work? Holiday? Party? Sports event? Restaurant?

Imagine if someone had come up to you two years ago and said something like what you soon will read. Should you laugh at that person? Be angry? Feel pity?

Well, close your eyes and return two years in your imagination. Put yourself where you were some nice day in August. Suddenly, a shadow, somebody starts to talk:

A virus more feared than any other disease in modern time will make the alert over all countries in the World, not an epidemy, but worse, a pandemic and a LOT of people will needlessly die.

01/08/2021 - Sports and politics

Regarding the actual mainstream, sports and politics apparently belong together. Why should the same not apply to politics and sports?

Does anyone follow the Olympics? There is no audience in place, as the whole world has capitulated to a junta of infection experts. Time lap means that there is hardly any audience in Europe and North America either. Probably are Asians working instead of sitting in the couch and watching.

Japan Olympic Games not 2020 but 2021 may be the best games ever in terms of results, but it's hard to know because the matters are about everything else. It´s too hot, which of course is the fault of the sinful humanity. The...

11/07/2021 - AGREE

There was a time when we could laugh at Americans. You read that sticker on the lawn mower, for example - the one that says you should NOT DRINK the gasoline. Just to imagine the circumstances when an American, at some point, got to drink gasoline directly from the mower.Did he just tip it over his mouth? Or did he use a siphon? How much time did he have - because it is guaranteed to be a male - to drink, before it appeared to be a bad idea? And how much did he sue the lawnmower company for?

Once we could laugh. Now the World is taken over by giant companies and commissions. Bit by bit, regulation by regulation, algorithm by algorithm, we were all assumed to be the guy who drank from the lawnmower. Now we live in a...

07/07/2021 - PANDORAS BOX

Progress…It was once my slogan. Now, better add “…with care”. Balance. In fact, maintain the balance is the right purpose. If we knew when something is enough, if we knew when to stop and be satisfied, if we could keep the balance in our results, then we should be able to maintain development in control.

However, we cannot get enough and that is why human societies, sooner or later, fail.

Before the Industrial Revolution, humans produced their needs by themselves. In small clusters they organized the duties, so food, tools, medicine, labor, constructions and services were available to grant survival. Traditions, religion, family and...

16/06/2021 - SUGAR!

Não! ÁGUA! That was the right choice from Cristiano Ronaldo, as he pushed away the unhealthy bottles with black liquid full of sugar and salt.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn4NzEnbPM0

So, why should we avoid sugar?

How much is “too much” sugar? Traditionally, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended getting no more than 10 per cent of our daily calorific intake from sugar. However, an update to its guidelines in 2015 saw them half that recommendation to 5 per cent - equating to around 25 grams, or six teaspoons, of sugar a day.
Now considering that a can of soft...
