A traditional timber house is created by the resources from the forest. Even the roof was made by splinted wood, with a duration about some 25 years in cold climate. Few nails, the mainpart of the house was assembled by wooden pegs. Only the stove and the glass of the windows have to be manufactured by manufactured material. But - how to build a timber house? Are we still able to do it or have the members of the younger generation transformed the muscles to jelly, after a decade of cell phone tapping and couch comfort ?
