If I said “I don´t know why every religion demands praying” I should be too polite and discreet. Do the Creator need to hear prayer? If you expect help from the Creator, you are arrogant and naive. The mechanisms of Nature cannot be adjusted to fit every little egoist.
Sure I know the scope of prayer. To make you a servant. The religions are hi-jacked by opportunists, the shouting masters of manipulation are using the stupidness and submission of the human herd to move the masses in the direction for their own egoistic purposes.
Religions are basically intended to help the society to survive, maintain health and hygienics and be a powerful tool for collaboration. The Buddhist scriptures and the Holy Koran are high quality lectures intentioned to enhance capacity and social organization of the citizen, enhanced and reviewed by millennial experience and wisdom.
Unfortunately, the human herd is as defect as the religious leaders. Human moral is questionable and the only thing who separate the top level from the bottom level of human mediocracy is the degree of intellectual capacity.
Whatever is the level you define yourself in, stand up and make just one contemplation. This one and only question will satisfy the System of the Creator.
Don´t waste time on praying. Don´t waste time on competing for material benefits. Don’t damage. Avoid violence. Do what is right to do. Don´t bend yourself in creepy submission in expectation for some Paradise or Heaven. Don´t be afraid to be tortured in Hell. Whatever sin is made, no one is sent to Hell. Heaven and Hell are myths, made up to ease the submission under malicious persons.
You ask: What can I do to serve this wonderful creation of the Earth? The answer is: Make yourself fit in the system of the Creator. Follow that as the one and only rule. Do that and the result will consist of quality for the rest of your life. Don´t imagine other levels of the Universe, take care of this life, prepare for the worst and hope for the best, without any fear or expectations of the other side.
